Craig Murray Consultants

About Us

From the beginning in 1980, the Murray family at Nimmo Bay has strived to create and share their dream of living off the land, while minimizing their footprint on the environment itself. That’s why you’ll find landmark innovations like our hydro power system fueled by streams and waterfalls, providing clean drinking water and up to 80% of our resort’s power needs, as well as floating docks in lieu of deforested land. CMC has chosen to follow this landmark business so as to lead the way for other resorts to have minimal imprint on our environment. Craig and Deborah Murray are the founders of Nimmo Bay Resort and CMC.

What we do

We offer consulting services for potential start up businesses looking to grow Hospitality and Tourism along the West Coast of British Columbia. Our 32' power boat charters you and your party to most destinations among the Broughton Archipelago, Central Coast, and Northern Vancouver Island regions. Our connections with Government, First Nations, service providers, trades and the environment ensures your endeavours are respectful and longlasting.

Wi’la’mola Accord

The U’mista Cultural Society and Nimmo Bay Resort believes a world-class tourism resource can be developed in a manner that will benefit all residents of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw Territories. The Wi’la’mola Accord signed in 2003 is a commitment to this and can be viewed here.

In partnership with nature

For every perspective-altering wilderness experience we are able to provide for our clients and new business we help to become reality, we are aware that we must take up some space and resources in the wild. That’s why we strive to live a life in balance.

This is the basis of our philosophy when it comes to sustainability: for everything we take, we strive to give back in a conscientious manner. That’s why we sustainably suggest sourcing our culinary ingredients and support local farms, use eco-friendly local products, support our surrounding communities through sustainable tourism and education, compost, recycle, carry out excess waste, convert any waste water to clean water suitable for re-entry to the environment, and practice and provide recommendations for renewable energy where possible.
